Alolan Omanyte
Type: Dark/Water
Ability: Suction Cups/Illuminate
Believed to be extinct, a different form of Omanyte were found in the surrounding waters of Alola. Compared to Omanyte revived from Helix Fossils, Alolan Omanyte have since evolved and adapted over time. Its shell reversed and grew lighter so it could swim faster, allowing it to catch prey easily. Its shell contains an iridescent mineral, which reflects light to attract prey.
I thought I'd just put up Omanyte for now, to test the waters. My Aerodactyl was received very well but many people knocked it with Poke Lore that Mega Aerodactyl is it's true form. Alolan Omanyte isn't part Rock-type because it didn't revive from a Fossil. Also, the iridescent mineral is Ammolite, an organic gemstone found in Ammonite shells.
